Prehistory (Before 48 AD)
The term “Prehistory” refers to a time before recorded history. In the example of Wales, records truly began to be kept with the Roman Invasion of Wales, which began in 47 AD and was completed in 78 AD.
Before this, the history of humanity in Wales stretched back nearly 300,000 years, with the Welsh being some of the oldest people to live in Great Britain.
